    John Deere Riding Mower LT166.won't start!
    It has a brand new battery... new fuel filter since old one was all sludge filled...
    Husband says it doesn't seem to be getting any gas... can't find any cracks in hoses
    Any suggestions?

    Remove the carb bowl and check the float and needle workablility.

    I think it is a simple problem that your fuel pump has gone out. It is external and takes only a couple small screws to remove it. It is attached to the engine itself and a gas line from the filter runs over to it. Try it.
