John deere L120 lawn tractor transmission
Can fluid be added to the hydrostatic transaxle? The tractor will run for a bit but when you go to pull hills its just holding onto hope that you can climb it... I would like to try to salvage this tractor, if possible, for a month or two until I can purchase another... after about a half an hour it gets even worse... could this be the fluid? The belt?. yes the belt has been replaced twice now and is routed correctly... perhaps if you could include a diagram of the correct routing I could double check this... please help!!
    Thank you for your time

    Hi,
Technically there is a plug on top that will come out. It uses 10W30 and fills to I think 50mm down. It is said to be a sealed unit.
