    Help with Briggs & Stratton Intek electrical problem!
    I jumped off a 13.5HP Briggs Intek engine (on a Simplicity brush cutter). Upon connecting the booster box, I heard a sizzle and smoke came from under the flywheel area Now, the engine will NOT start (it was prior to the smoking). What did I fry and is it hard to replace? My engine is: 21B977 0120 E1. Thanks for any help!

    Hi,
    Sounds like you connected something wrong. Smoke could be the armature or the stator or both. This has probably shorted out things somewhere.
