    I have a john deere hydro 185 that will not start, what cuold be problem?
    I have john deere hydro 185, it turns over just fine, but will only stay running by shooting starter fluid in carb,but off as soon as stop spraying, has new fuel pump,clean carb, what else could be problem?

    Hi,
    You have a Kawasaki FC540V engine that has an anti-backfire solenoid on the bottom of the carb. Suspect it first; and use carb cleaner, a flammable brake cleaner, WD40 or something besides starter fluid as ether attacks the aluminum insides of your engine.
