    Hi,
Because of gas octane ratings these days and oild formulation; all engines will perform well at 50:1 when a quality name brand oil is used. By that I mean a name brand of a manufacturer of two cycle equipment. One company makes about 85% of them; they make one with your name on it blended to your specifications for a price.
At any rate Stihl, Echo, Poulan, Homelite, etc. are all manufacturers of this equipment, as are others.
Bolens should be a Ryobi, which has had many names previously.
    Peace,

I typically use the Stilh 50:1 oil containers. You just put one of these small containers into a gallon of gas. I always use high octane gas.

Compression ratio and Fuel grade [ 2 Answers ]

I just purchased some new dome pistons that the manufacturer has said will raise my compression to 13.5:1. Now we can probably assume that it won't get that high; I'm thinking it will be 13:1. With that being said, will I be able to run 92 octane in my car with this ratio?
