    Engine Trouble with a briggs and stratton 18.5 hp ohv intek plus
    I have a Craftsman Riding mower with a briggs and Stratton 18.5 hp ohv intek plus engine. The engine acts like it is not getting enough fuel. I checked the fuel pump, and it is putting out plenty of fuel. What other things might make the engine run like this?

    Hi,
    Believe it or not, needing a valve adjustment will do it on the exhaust side since it cannot get out the old exhaust.

Where can I find a used or refurbished 18.5 hp OHV intek plus Briggs engine. I have a Craftsman DLT3000 riding mower with a hole in the side of the block.

The mower runs great and has 120# cranking compression.. After 3-5 minutes starts smoking.. hot or cold.. I thought oil ring. Just ask expert said no it's the intake valve seal.. replaced it and still smokes same.. breather and exhaust not pluged. I feel it has to be oil ring or cracked piston....
