    Deck will engage then turn off
    JD 455 deck will engage then turn off. Won't stay engaged unless you hold the button in the up position

    Hi,
    First thing to check is the brake switch beneath the left running board. Had one of those make me pull my hair out a few years back. Busted or bad switch will do what you are saying.
