    Craftsman riding mower troubleshooting
    Riding mower will not shif into neutral. Appears issue may have started when unit would not start... replaced several parts.. no luck. Unit will jump start though. I realized it may be related to brake/clutch function..

    Hi,
    If it will not shift, then it appears that the brakes may have been tightened too much to allow the belt to disengage before the belt does. This jams the gears in their respective position.
