Craftsman - part to attach bagger
We have a Craftsman tractor model # 917.272220 purchased in 00/01. We need replacement parts to attach the 3 bin hard bagger we purchased around the same time. We need the metal bracket with 2 threaded rods and the pin hat holds the arm of the bins to the tractor. Any ideas on what the part numbers would be for these items?

Most places that sell replacement parts have exploded parts diagrams for the product in question that you can reffer to, get part numbers for... and prices of, if available.

Thanks. I did contact Sears and they sent me a diagram of a 3 bin hard bagger but it's a 2006 model so the parts that attach the bagger to the tractor are different. Not sure if we can find parts from 2000/01 or if there are any parts that would work.

I meant online parts places. (Google is your friend)... there are dozens... try several if one doesn't have the diagram you are after. Most may share a drawing... but not all do so you may find different exploded diagrams, and not every place may cary al lthe parts.

It worked for me finding stuff in recent years.

I can't name any one place as I've gone through several... and honestly, none of their names pop into mind at the moment.

Unless you find it at the first place keep looking... really obscure places might be a lot harder to find, but may actually have it on the shelf.

I have tried to Google search replacment parts for the bagger but have not found anything that I am looking for. I suppose I need to be more specific in my search. Thanks for your help.

You usually have to dig down several levels at some of those sites...

Have you tried to see if there was a manual available for download from sears on that?

Try googling service manual... parts manual, user manual with that model number. That's how I got a copy of the one for my Craftsman tractor. Didn't cost me a cent.. and has the exploded diagrams in it...
