Craftsman eager-1 model 917386140 carb adjust
Trying to set the carburator and can't get it to run smooth. Had it tuning great then next time I went to use mower it was exactly the same as before I had it running great. First pull and it starts but goes off right away. Then have to hit prime to keep it running. Cleaned carb , lines, and tank then it ran great again for 15-20 minutes then idol up and down up and down then off and won't run again.

Need to adjust the carborator on a craftsman eager-1 push mower. 5 hp ,model # 917386140. There is two screws and I'm not sure which one is for what but do know the screws have been messed with. I did have it running and made a few passes in our yard, ran a total of about half hour then it died...
This craftsman 917386140 will not stay running. I removed the bowl on carb and cleaned it and little holes and so on. It was dirty and jell like stuff was in there. After putting it back together it started and ran a few minutes then died out. Now it's back to prime, pull and start but die right...
Well I have engine model number 143966010 on a self propelled Craftsman push mower. My problem is I replaced the carburetor and Didn't get a good mental note as to where the linkages had been from the previous carburetor So now I need to know or get a diagram as to what goes where and I can't seem...
I took apart carberator and forgot how spring & two other pieces go togather
