    Craftsman 26 HP riding lawnmower
It turns on and rides fine but once I pull the blade engagement switch nothing happens.
I guess what I am asking is why the blades won't engage?

Rudyo, I just tried to start up my Craftsman mower, and I can't get the blades to engage either. Hope you (we) get an answer soon - my lawn is getting overgrown as it is.

Sounds like the cable that engages the mower is broken. If so, take your serial number to Sears and get a new cable.

It was just the battery. It has an electronic blade engagement and there was not enough juice in the battery to engage it. There was plenty to start the mower but not enough for the blade engagement.
