A good deal at Harbor Freight? Maybe that's why.
Sometimes it's the people who type in the specs.
I see errors on Home Depot's website all the time.

Thanks. After I purchased the chuck key from Lowe's. I found the original chuck key for the hammer drill from Harbor Freight . I broke opening the Lowe's packaging so I cannot bring the chuck key back.

But if Lowe's said it's 1/2" and it isn't? Next time you have to go anyway... they are good about returns.

Different chucks use different keys, even if they are 1/2. That only determines the drill size, not the chuck.

Chuck size (in.)1/2 in./ Cord length 5-1/4 ft. Anyhow I found the old chuck key for the 1/2 hammer drill. I tied it on the drill with wire So I do not lose it again.
