I have a 12hp briggs and stratton on a murray lawn mower, I would like to know which wire or wires are needed to hook up to chare the battery, my animals chewed through the wires and all I can do now is start and stop the engine through the new key ignition I installed

My problem is the wiring. When I took the ON and OFF switch wire off the magneto I would get a spark. When it was on I wouldn't. So what can I do to fix that. Is it just replacing the wires or what. Thanks.

I am rebuilding a standing mower. I purchased a used 26 HP Briggs and Stratton engine. There are several wires that I need to connect. Does anyone know what the wires from the engine correspond to. How can I find out? Thanks
