    12volt or 6 volt
    Got an old cenex brand mower given to me . It has the old clear plastic battery in it like a motor cycle.. all faded off and cannot read anything on it. Any help on this is it a 12volt system or a 6 volt?? Thanks

    I know on old trucks you could tell by the number of filler caps on top of the battery. I don't know if this is true on tractors or not. Trucks would have one cap for every two volts. So, if it has three caps it would be a 6-volt and 6 caps would be a 12 volts.

    Let me know if this holds true on tractors too..
