Somehow you need to select PAL-M, if that's even possible. In the US there is a color crystal at 3.58 MHz which happens to be a multiple of the 60hz refresh rate. So with 50 Hz refresh rate, the color won't appear because the oscillator can't lock. I'm surprised it works at all becsuse the US uses NTSC.
There is a remote possibility it can be changed within the service menu if it has one. Service manual required.
Fine print: not 100% correct. It's very close to 60hz and there are more decimal places in the frequency.
