I have a Panasonic TV that has worked well. However, I tried to disable the CC fu

I have a Panasonic TV that has worked well However, when I tried to disable the "CC "function by using the controller I completely lost my picture, When I go to "Input" I can see the "tv" option but I am unable to select it. I know my problem is just a matter of selecting the right option but I do not know how to do it.
