    Will this last?
I have a really close friend we have been friends for six years <btw I'm 11 and she's 13> she has some mental problems and she's been cutting herself because she says she hates life and everything about it and she hates herself. I try to tell her positive things about life and herself and she just keeps cutting. So... My question is should I try to help her with her problems or tell her I can't be around her because that's an unhealthy environment?

You can't help her with her problems. Tell your mom or a teacher or adult who will know what to do.

You should tell a teacher or her parents that she's cutting herself asap! Don't leave her hanging you have to keep being supportive and make her feel wanted. I know I've been in her situation its very important that you keep her in the "loved" zone or else she might hurt herself even worse. She needs help!
