To tell them or not to tell them?
I am sixteen years old and my boyfriend is the same age as me, we have been dating for awhile now and we want to tell our parents but we don't know how to tell them. We love each other a lot but we just have that one problem. My stepdad is very protective and my mom can be quite rude. What do we do?

Well I can feel you, my stepdad and my mom are protective and I say that you just go up to both of them( without your boyfriend present ) and say " mom, dad I have been going out with this guy for a while now and we really like each other and i would really appreciate it if you both can keep letting me see him." then maybe at a later date you could indroduce him to your parents.
And all from a 14 year old XD

Thanks that helps! We have been thinking about different ways to tell my parents and his and I'm kind scared to tell them because my mom tells my grandma stuff and then all of a sudden the whole town knows what's going on so it's kind of hard to say stuff so he said he wants to be there with me and then I'd be with him when we told his mom, stepdad and dad and I kind of want him to meet my dad but it might be awhile till he gets to meet him

Ya but if you two really like each other ( which it sounds like you do!) you shouldn't be afraid to have other people knowing that you two are in love. Yesterday I asked my best gal friend out in front of maybe 18 people. My brother asked his prom out over the announcements.

Your welcome :) hope you can sort this out. Oh and a piece of advise, find a common interest your boyfriend and your dad share. So when he meets him he will have a advantage. Also if your dad likes your boyfriend he will defend him if your mom is being rude.
And it also helps if your in love yourself :)

When I told my mom I had a boyfriend, she freaked out. Yep, cause I was only 14. She told me that I'm so young and all and yep, I get that mommy lecture. However, I started to improve in my education and behavior. Mom started noticing and I told her that my boyfriend helped me a lot through. She was still mad and forced me to break up a few times.
Meh, I got even better in life (thanks to my boyfriend, really!) and my mom was beginning to trust in me that I can handle between relationship life and my own life.
Right now, I'm 19 and I'm taking a degree in University. I'm still with the same boyfriend I had 5 years ago. My mom is impressed now. XD

Girl in love I'm really thinking you might be in love but you have to understand that your in high school and your emotions are still getting set out so it might be kind of hard. Oh and end of my past comment I was talking about me ;)
