Why won't my boyfriend hold my hand??
Ok so me and Christian have been dating for a week and we are at summer camp and we are both 13. And Christian hasn't done anything. He held my hand once and that is because my friends boyfriends brother told him too. And he hugged me once and that's it. No more hugs or hand holding. And I already checked we have no public affection rules, and he is not a germaphob. Help!!

Holding hands with a girl is not first on the list of things to do for 13 year-old boys. In fact, you are probably several years older than he is in maturity, and he won't catch up with you until you both are in your late teen or early 20s. Right now, the best thing to do is get to be his friend. Encourage him to talk about his favorite sports teams, his favorite foods, his pets if he has any, his favorite subjects in school, and then you tell him about yours. It's called conversation and communication. Both of you become good at that right now, and forget the hand holding,

It sounds like he's not ready. That's not a bad thing, because he's only 13 and shouldn't go around hugging, kissing, or holding hands with girls. He's too young, and so are you.
At your age dating means something far different then it does when you're older.
I have to ask. Do both of your parents know that you two are "dating"?

He sounds like a smart kid and you sound like one wanting to grow up too fast. Get into things you are not ready for.

Heeheee you are both 13, I doubt either of you really know how to hold each other comfortably. Or the right ways to lock hands, fingers intertwined or not, left to his right or your right to his left. Do you guys know the right way to kiss? OF COURSE NOT. At least not in a comfortable way, you probably imagine kissing to be movie-moments. Well... it's not.
You're both young and you don't really even know what's going on with your own bodies and your own feelings, so there isn't much space to know how the other person's body and feelings work either.
But don't worry about that, you'll learn that in the years to come, slowly, and safely hopefully. But don't rush it. Chances are you guys won't last, and you'll realize that as you get older, guys get better looking, they're smarter, and will be more keen on social codes of conduct when it comes to dating. Otherwise he isn't got no clue what to do about touching you. For your age, dating means "He is mine, I am his, but we treat eachother pretty much like friends except EXTRA friendsy". (:

Proper way to hold hand grips?

What is the proper way to hold hand grips?
All the pictures I have seen shows that the springs are suppose to be pointing up. But I think it makes more sense to have the springs pointing down. Because the thumbs would then be on the end of the grip, which would work the thumb muscles more.
