Okay. First off I'm a girl, 14, in the eighth grade who has a girlfriend. Last Friday me and my friends were coming back from lunch to our classes and we were acting crazy as usal. One of my girl as friends took my sharpie and puts it down her shirt. So I go down her shirt and get it. My girlfriend saw me do it and one of my other guy friend did too. I thought it was no big deal because I see that girl as my friends as a sister, like I don't see her no other way. But my guy as friend and girlfriend got pissed at me and now I'm so ****ing angry at them. Like who the **** cares! Its no big deal! Just hop off! Idk... I just need advice on how to handle this and to understand other women because I just don't know.

Well.. it's no big deal it's not like you kissed da girl or anything but it was innapropriate and many others will understand why it would've bothered her. Just picture her doing the same thing and be extremely honest: would it get on your nerves just a bit?

I agree with melaniel0pez's reply as well, and I'd also like to add something to think about -- just because you don't think your gf's justified in being upset, doesn't mean you shouldn't comfort her. You have a right to your own feelings, right? Don't you appreciate it when you're hurt and someone else understands where you're coming from? So why not do that for your girlfriend and your guy friend.

Think about it that way. If you can not react with anger and defensiveness to your girlfriend and your guy friend, they will feel heard and respected, even if you guys don't agree that they had the right to be upset with your behaviour. Tell your girlfriend that you're sorry your actions hurt her feelings and reassure her that it was something done in a moment and on impulse rather than something thought out.

And next time don't snatch something down anyone's shirt!

It may not seem like a big deal to you, but if I saw my girlfriend do the same thing, I'd be pretty upset. It's not to say what you did was a big deal, but it obviously is to your girlfriend.

I would speak to your girlfriend, here her point of view and try to understand where she is coming from. Sometimes our actions are perceived differently by others.
