The age would be pretty easy to look up the laws, usually in the United States it is 18. When you are 18 you MAY be able to survive by having a steady job (or two or three part time jobs) and several roommates. You will not be able to have luxuries like cable TV, internet, or takeout food.

    WAIT! What?

    What happened? Do tell us!

Does it have something to do with the counselling?
Did your ex try doing something that got your mum angry again?

I don't think that leaving your home like this is a good solution. I know that when you're angry at your mum, you always want to do something that you would otherwise not dare do, but that doesn't mean that it'll do any good. We all have our ups and downs, and it's the downs that make the ups so valuable. Do hang on and be patient.

What will happen if you leave home? Where will you live? What will happen to your mother? First losing her husband and now her daughter... We already told you that you were someone lucky to have a such a mother. Some days are never enough to completely make the anger die out, do give some time. :(
