I have this friend... I won't use her name so I'll just call her kate. Anyway, kate was new to my school a couple of years ago and my friends and I thought it would be nice if we showed her around and let her hang around with us since she didn't know anybody. Since then we've become really good friends, and I've descovered a lot of stuff that I never knew about before, like different music scenes. But last year, I had a huge fight with a couple of my old friends about how kate was changing me and how they didn't like it. It annoyed me that they just couldn't support me. I haven't really spoken to them since. But I have some knew friends and they're all great. We all have a good time and have real fun together. But I have kept a lot of secrets from kate and, well everyone. Kate draws manga and she's really good at it too!! And I really like the look of it so I went out and brought a couple of books about how to do it and I started learning and I'm getting pretty good. I didn't tell anyone at first because I thought that if I didn't get along with it then I'd just give it up anyway... but I do like it, when I was talking to kate about manga she got really defensive and said that if someone started drawing manga then she'd give it up. Now as selfish as that seemed, our friendship meant more to me than a hobby so I gave it up for a while... but then I just kept going. Another thing is kate is really skinny and she wears drainpipes (or skinny jeans, whatever you call 'em) but there's this other hirl in school who wears them and she isntso skinny... she's not fat... but she isn't skinny and kate makes fun of her and says that she shouldn't wear them... thing is that hurts because I recently went out and bought a pair and I'm not exactly skinny either... which means that is just another thing I can't tell anyone
To be honest, my life is a huge balancing act, and one day I'm going to fall...
Help? :(

WonderGirl is totally right. You do rule your life and if you like manga, you draw manga. My friend is amazing at manga and she teaches me how.. and I'm getting all right but that besides the point. You need to go back to your old friends and ask them how you were changing.. I find it pretty annoying when one of my friends change in ways that isn't good for them.
