    Are mix cds romantic?
Okay, so I really like this guy (same one :p) and for valentines day I was thinking of making him a mix cd anonymously with good love songs (rock/ not cheesy) and I wanted to know if it was a good idea or just plain weird and cheesy, because me being a hopeless romantic (that's obsessed with music) I would love to receive one...

So my main question(s) are, are they cool and what songs should I put on... but mainly the first one.

Well, I think it can be romantic, especially if you leave hints as to who made it, if you don't mind doing that.

As for what songs, do you know what type of music he likes? Is it just rock? And if so, what type of rock? Contemporary, or classic?

Oh well we both like classic rock A lot, but some catchy contemporary tunes don't matter... oh, and Im not sure what some hints would be... the only obvious one would be the song "michelle my bell" but that is NOT happening.. haha

I've always been a fan of "Wonderwall" by Oasis
Although I don't like Buckcherry, "Sorry" is another good one.
As far as Christian Rock goes, Creed has some songs, though not Romantic, have a sense of love in them. "With Arms Wide Open"
One of my favorites, "Black" by Pearl Jam, is a bit more down-toned, but still good.
"Walking After You" - Foo Fighters
"Broken" - Seether and Amy Lee

Are just some off the top of my head.

Hmm... this actually was brought up a few weeks ago between my buddies. I have a hopelessly romantic guy friend (he still writes little love notes to his girlfriend... go figure?) who gave his girlfriend a mix cd. We all made fun of him (all night), but who knew, some girls still find it romantic?

All joking aside, it's my personal preference to not do this (explains why I may be single), but, these are a few good love songs (includes some Disney songs... I love Disney)

Anastasia OST - At the beginning
Shrek OST - accidentally in love
    Train - Drops of Jupiter
    Enrique - Do you know
Dashboard Confessionals - Your Guardian Angel
Dashboard Confeesionals - As lovers go

    So on and so forth.

Don't know about romantic... but it is nice and personal... because it was made by you for someone you care about... so that's always good... so go for it in my opinion...

Well is the guy a little old fashioned? Like is he a gentleman or something? It depends on the person, if they like unique and personal gifts, then cool... but if they are into new trendy stuff, then it may not suit him...
