Hey! So I did not know really where to post this problem. But for me, I am in college in a sorority and I know a lot of people and everyone likes me but I do not have any close friends and I never have. My parents and family are all really anti-social so I am caught in this paradox and I do not know how to be close to people and anyone who does get close to me just hurts me. I really do not understand girls. Boys are easy but I do not want a boyfriend I want girlfriends and I feel so opposite of everyone else my age who is obsessed with their boyfriends. I am in clubs and groups and have a lot of friends... but I need help on figuring out how to make those friends closer to me and make them my "group of girls." I really do not know how other girls do it!

Have you tried making yourself a moral list ? Often close friends can be born from it. They reason is because of a deeper bond. Many people try to be popular but a true close friend will tell you when your out of line even when its not popular. So maybe you need to do a little soul searching and find where you stand in life and from there try to cultivate that garden. It may make you switch certain friends but in the long run you have much more to gain by it. If your passion is poetry or whatever then gravitate in that direction and you will soon be with friends and from your discussions of common grounds gain close friends and weed out your personal garden of the superficial.
