Okay, so I go to this two-week camp every summer, and this year, I met this girl that I really like. We're both 14, we hung out a lot, and we became really close over the past two weeks and exchanged numbers. I've been flirting a little with her, but she's just a quirky person so her feelings are shrouded in mystery, She lives in the area, but I live a few hours away. I'll see her at least next year but probably before that, and we've been texting. I really like her and want her to like me. Is this possible? Is there any way to get her to like me? If so, what should my approach be? Thanks so much!

You should be her friend and try to keep a friendship up by phone, text, internet.

At 14 she lives to far away to be a girlfriend since you have no way to see her on any regular schedule and would miss too much from having a girlfiend locally.

Well either likes you or she doesn't, but at 14 just write each other or text and get to know each other.

Enjoy your text buddy but don't let it stop you from enjoying your real friends and daily activities. She likes you enough to be a text buddy so what more do you want? Fact is you both are to young and far away to DATE, so all you can do is talk, and text. Another fact here is you don't know how many text buddy guys she has, or how she likes them either, so just be cool, and keep talking, and texting, and enjoying it, because that's all you got for now.

Maybe it grows... maybe it doesn't. You will have to just see what happens next. I know not what you wanted to hear, but short of just asking her if she like you, like you like her, nothing else you can really do, so be text friends, or TELL her how YOU feel, and ask her how SHE feels.

At your age, I did the latter, and it didn't always work that great. I was on cloud nine when it did though! Man up and take your chances. Scary ain't it?
