    The hardest part of life
My friend thinks that the hardest part of life is high school and being a teenager. I don't think it is because I'm in high school and I think as you get older life gets harder because of money, getting a job etc. He's in high school too so he wouldn't really know if it is harder either. I know that it's different for different people but I just want to know what you think the hardest time of your life was.

You are correct. It does get harder as you get older. But, the harder part goes just a little deeper than paying bills, getting and keeping a job.

I'm going to answer according to is, and not was, if you don't mind.

For me, the hardest part of life is realizing who I am, the potential that I have, and living it so that my life is beneficial in various ways, to myself as well others according to our individual goals and beliefs that we have in life.

For me, that would seem to encompase a lot of things.

High school is harder than being a little kid, but it doesn't get much easier from then onwards. However, I don't think it gets much worse either. You go to college just as you used to go to school. Then you go to work just as you used to go to college. If you don't mess up (like getting pregnant at 17, dropping out of college, choosing a career path you hate), it all comes naturally, and, ideally, you'll enjoy work just as much as you enjoy school. You might not become a millionnaire, but you'll earn enough to pay the bills and lead a decent living.

I think the teenage years are especially tough because you yearn for so many things you can't yet have, especially freedom. Life is relatively easy, but very limited. I personally wouldn't go back.

Enjoy school as much as work? I can't stand school! Haha

At least that gives me something to look forward to =P
