Do you think he is interested or just a friendly co worker?
I just started a new job at a pet store a few weeks ago and I met this guy who also works there, Hes 24, I'm 18, he's super nice and outgoing and will talk to anyone and on my first day he showed me around and helped me with everything and also asked me a lot of personal questions about my interests and things like that. We had a lot in common and I got the feeling like he might be interested in me... today, I worked with him again, I had been working at the place a few weeks now. Right when he saw me, he complimented me on how my hair looked. Towards the end of our shift we were talking more and he asked me about my past relationships and told me about his ex girlfriends, pretty serious stuff. As we were walking out, he asked me what I was doing on Sunday, and if I wanted to go to the beach. He gave me his number and told me to text him and I plan on texting him Sunday seeing if he still wanted to hangout. Do you think he likes me and would want to go out with me or is it just a friendly co worker thing? Are there any signs I should look for that would say he's interested?

In my opinion, I think he's definitely interested.

If you're interested as well, I'd go to the beach with him.

My caveat here - it is tough to mix work and personal life situations. If you two do go out and continue to go out - how will that compromise your work relationship? If you two would have a disagreement and you still had to work with him, how would you handle that? Or, if you two started dating and he went out with someone else. Can you deal with that and still work with him?

Does your business have any rules about co-workers being personally involved with each other? Have you discussed this with your supervisor? Or is this 24 yr guy your supervisor, since he is the one helping you?

As fun as it may seem, as flattering it is to one's self esteem, (and I am saying this from personal experience), I would be content to have a decent working relationship without crossing the line.

But... you will do what feels right to you. Good luck. Don't get used by this guy.

No need to jump the gun. It definitely sounds like he wants to get to know you better. Go with the flow, keep getting to know each other and see where that leads. You're still in the "getting to know" each other phase, no need to rush. Give it time to blossom.

Way interested. I know most people frown upon relationships with colleagues but love doesn't come around every day. You can always get a new job if need be. Personally, I'd take the risk on someone if we hit it off. One of my friends and her boyfriend just recently broke up and they work in an office together. She says it's tough but still has no regrets about her decision to get involved. Go for it girl!

Of course he's interested in you. He wouldn't ask you out if he wasn't. Just take it slow, you work together and it could be awkward if you start dating, especially since you will be seeing too much of each other. Dating and working together doesn't work too well because you never have a break from each other. I use to work in a pet store also, but the customers kept wanting to know HOW BIG WILL I GET!
