Yes, your school would be legally obligated to tell your parents. You are being abused and the person abusing you is yourself. This type of behavior could lead to thoughts of suicide.
Please, find other outlets to express the way you feel, hurting yourself is truly not the answer. If you have issues that you want to talk about we will be glad to listen, to them and advise you. Most of us will not judge and get you help if you need it.

Are you talking about yourself?
Yes your school can and will tell your parents, they are obligated to do so. Hopefully you can get some help to deal with whatever issues you have that are causing you to hurt yourself. Let it out, talk to someone, get some help. You deserve to be happy and healthy, you really do.

They are obligated to report it to children services, since they can not know for sure if you are cutting yourself or if a parent or someone is doing it to you. Since a person who is self harming needs seroius professional help, it is in their best interest for the school to be sure they are provided with contact with child welfare.
It is very likely that children's services in and during their investigations will notify the parents. But then that is great also, because perhaps it can help the child to also get the help they need

Yes the school is required to notify your legal guardians because if you are harming yourself and the do not report it and you continue to do so and cause serious injury the school for knowing and not telling can be held accountable

Yes.
The School teachers have signed a contract and took an Oath to report anyThing suspicious... itz part of there job.
Maybe getting help, would be a good idea. Don't feel disapointed; I used to hurt myself too until I realized, self harm will get me nowhere.
I Wish you The best of... LuCk
