Did my ex boyfriend really want to break up?
I was with my boyfriend for about two months and we had more of a physical relationship than communicative. We made out every time we hung out. I noticed one night we hung out, he wasn't talking to me very much and was preoccupied with his friends(he usually would be more preoccupied with me, not his friends). He would always text me after we hung out saying he had a great time and stuff, but this time he didn't text me until the next day, but I had to text him first. I asked him how much he liked me because I knew something was up, and he said he didn't know because our relationship is hard and awkward. I agreed and suggested that we break up, hoping he would try to argue it and want to stay together. He told me OK but he still wanted to be friends and hang out. I told him that we didn't have to and he said "you don't even want to be friends?" Then I told him "sure just later" He then asked if I just needed some time to recover and I said sure. A few days after the break up, my friend was talking to him and she mentioned us breaking up and he said that he's glad we broke up. Neither of us contacted each other for a little over a month. He had just lost a baseball game and was crying so I thought I should text him and try to cheer him up. I said sorry he lost his game and he did good and that I want to be friends and that Im sorry for all that happened before. I also said not to worry about texting back but he texted me back saying thanks and that he's glad we can be friends. We had this conversation about two weeks ago and neither of us has attempted to talk to each other. He doesn't have a new girlfriend or anything. We both go to the same school and I noticed occasionally I catch him looking at me. He's one of the more popular boys and I'm one of the more popular girls and everybody says I'm the prettiest girl at our school and a lot of boys flirt with me( if this makes any difference in this situation. Im just wondering your opinion if he still has feelings for me? Did I make the right decision in putting out the idea that we break up? Do I have a good chance in getting him back? What can I say or do to get him back? Please help! I really miss him and can't get him off my mind!

Sounds like all you guys had was a sexual relationship. Maybe he misses that. If you want to know how he really feels about you, let him contact you, and then no sex.

But do you think he really did want the break up? Or did he just not want to argue it and just agrees even though he didn't want to?

Sounds like he didn't care one way or the other
He wanted to stay friends so the option for sex would still be there

He also wrote on Facebook "that exploded in my face" the night we broke up. So what did he mean by this?

I don't know, but he has not contacted you.
I think you want to believe he really wanted you. When you have sex only relationships this is the kind of thing that happens. You don't know where you stand. Has he contacted you?
Why don't you just ask him?
How old are the two of you?
