Hair is damaged in a lot of everyday ways, as well as when we do things such as blow drying, curling, dying, and yes, straightening. It does not mean it is damaged forever however, hair always grows back out; but you can take care of damaged hair now by conditioning and doing things such as letting your hair air dry, not dying it, etc. You can talk to your salon about how to take care of damaged hair.
