Can they send him to jail with no proof?
I am 15 years old and one of my best friend's is a guy who's 23, my parents thing I have something sexual going on between me and him, but there is nothing like that between us, I can't testify against my parents that I'm a virgin because I was raped a few years back, can my parents send him to jail for something he didn't do? My mother knows I'm a virgin and trusts me, but she thinks he might take advantage of me, even though I've stayed the night at his house and people are always there that are my age, what should I do cause I've said I loved him for about a year now?

That's proof enough. Yes, he can go to jail.

Ok I been in a situation like this I was 13 and he was 18 the school wanted to report it but in the end they couldn't do nothing because my parents liked him and stood in and said were not having sex and they know everything that we get up to and his parents said the same, however if its your parents saying they will do something then yeah they can get him into a lot of trouble... if yous are not having sex you can demand a lie detecter test be done, and those things do not lie I can tell you that much,. But I am in australia and I don't know what the law is over there, but if your under 16 u can get him into a lot of trouble, so yeah be careful, with him or with any other guy...

First this OP is not the same as the one who posted the other thread. She did post IN that thread, but her post listed her as 15. So I removed the 2 posts about that.

Second, a 23 yr old has no business being involved with a 15 yr old. The two of you are from such different phases of your lives that I can't imagine why a 23 yr old would be in a relationship with a 15 yr old. I'm also bothered by your statement that people your age are always there. This screams pedophile to me.

OK 2 things about what ScottGem said... ok been only 20 and coming from the same faze as this girl, what's the difference between a 23yo been with a 15yo suppose to a 18yo been with a 28yo??
Secondly, what's the reason for other younger girls been at his place all the time? Does he have brothers and sister? We don't know this.
Going from what I have been like over the last 10yrs I have always hung with older guys.. And when I say older I don't mean 1 or 2 yrs I am talking 4+ years... Yes I got older brothers and sisters and that's how I met some of them but a lot I met on my own, I don't mix well with my age group, Guys or girls it doesn't matter, but I mix much better with those who are older then me by at least 4yrs... Yes sometimes this did land me in some bad traps but a lot of the times, I made genuine friends and just friends nothing more... Yeah OK some guys were more then friends but the majority of them and I'm talking like 98% of them were just plain friends... So to me there is nothing wrong with it... But there is the law, and the law is there to protect us.. so just be carful
ScottGem I wasn't attacking you just voicing how I see it

This has been discussed many times in various threads. The difference is that in the 18/28 scenario both are adults. At 15 a girl is still a child, her interests and focus is very different from a 23 yr old adult who is more concerned with work and career etc. There is a reason why there are age of consent laws and statutory rape laws.

You do however, make a valid point about questioning why there are young people hanging at his house.

Yes a 15 year old can not legally give consent to have sex. Plus if they can't prove the sex, there are other matters that your parents can go after, First if you were at his house all night, and were suppose to be home, he could be interfeing with custody.

But put a 23 year old in front of a jury and say the girl was at his house all night, he will have a new boyfriend called Bubba in the cell block for the next 5 years.

Yep at least in GA he would go to jail very easy on this

Ok well this is my view on it, But I guess too I was very mature for my age at 15, I was no longer in school and I had a full time job, So I think it also has to come down to maturity because if you ask me I was more matture then a lot of the older guys I ever hang out with, Yeah OK One thing made me immature, The face I did drugs, But didn't actually act immature, that's just an immature decision to make.
I was more headset on working and making a living for myself then a lot of the older people I hang out with all they wanted to do was go out and party and do stuff like that. So maybe that has something to do with why I see it the way I do...
I suppose If I compaired say even my 17yo sister been with a 22yo I would be he's too old for her unless he was immature for his age because just the way she acts and stuff... I yeah I state my point...
As for legal age yes I agree it wouldn't stand up strong in court... But in my case it didn't make it there due to both parties parents not having a problem with our relationship and placing a statement into them.
