What form(s) to file for closing single-member LLC?
    Hi,
I am posting this for a friend.
He is planning on closing down his single-member LLC which was being taxed as an S-corp. This LLC was established in 2011 and is not being closed in 2015.
The final tax returns for the year 2014 have already been filed and no business has been conducted since the beginning of 2015.
So, he just wanted to know if he needs to file any other forms in addition to LLC-4/7?

    Thanks

Other than perhaps notifying the state where the S corporation is registered, nothing else needs to be done.

Not sure HOW to inform the state. Each state has different procedures.
