    Taxable income
    My wife has been on short term and then long term disability through her employer this year, is that disability income taxable ? Also I have got a small amount of VA disability this year, if that taxable income ?

    If the disability income originates from her employer, then it replaces her wages and IS taxable income. She should be getting a Form 1099R from the employer.

    The disability from the Veterans Administration is tax-free.
