Standardized deduction on 1040nr for f1
    Hi,
    I have a small problem
I only see the itemized deduction on the 1040 NR unlike the 1040 NR-EZ.
But, I do want to claim my moving expenses... so I need to file the NR.

Can I just fill in the standard amount in the same line as the itemized deduction ($5700) and attest the form 8843..?

    Thank you

p.s.: I am on F1- OPT and have been throughout the tax year.---pay 45K

If you are from India, you will take $5700 as itemized deduction.
