Splitting the child care credit with exhusband
My husband and I divorced in Jan 2010. This is his year to claim our daughter. Since I am responsible for daycare shouldn't I get the child care credit? Can I claim the credit withought claiming my daughter? The total amount is $6000, since we are only allowed to claim up to $3000 can my exhusband and I split the credit?

You should have your husband claim the credit and then split the refund.
