    Reason you are submitting Form W-7
    Experts,
    I am holding L1 visa and my spouse is holding L2 visa and she is not working.
    I am filing my Tax return under option 'Married filing jointly'.
    I came in USA in Jan 2007 and my spouse in Apr 2007 and we are here since then.
    So my question is;
    In w7 which option [a-h] I have to select for her my spouse is column
    "Reason you are submitting Form W-7".
    Should I go for opton "c" as we both have passed resident alien - substential present test.

    Please suggest.

    Hi I have one more question;

    Is there any statement I need to fill with my W7 or 1040EZ form for resident status.

    Yes. Option "c" is correct.
