    How to report income without a 1099
    I have been laid off from my most recent employer for more than a year now and receiving unemployment benefit payments. During periods when I did not receive benefits I performed work for cash payment. I do not have the names or any other information about the person(s) whom I performed the work for. How do I claim the money earned on my taxes?

    File Schedule C and claim the income. After you deduct your expenses, the amount is transferred to Schedule SE where the self-employment tax is calculated.
