How long does it take for a debt collector to put a lien on propert and accounts
I received a letter stating I owe back taxes to the state of va and I have 2 days to pay in full or they will proceed with the next step of possibly putting a lien on my accounts. How long does this take to do that.

Depends on the backlog of work that particular auditor has and the efficiency of your state court system.

The IRS usually gets it done in about two months. I have no experience with Virginia, but I would expect something to happen by June at the latest.
