    How do I check for my w2 status
    My personal documents got stolen a couple of years ago and I think someone used my SS#, and one of the ways I knew was because a friend where I used to live said he saw a W-2 with my name on it, and now I would like to know if that W-2 has been filed yet!! How do I check the status of a W-2?

    I'd start with the SSI office. They can pull records of any employer that is using your SSI number for withholding reasons.
