    Filing without a w2
    I have not received one of my w2s so I am
    Wondering if I can still file without it or can I use my last paystub?

    You can file using your last paycheck stub, BUT send in a copy of your last check stub so that the IRS knows that is what you are filing with. AND... when and if you get your W-2, and IF it is higher than your last pay check stub, then you will have to file an amended tax return. The IRS wants you to file your tax return to the best of your ability but most importantly, they want you to file.

    Agree that you should file.

    Contact the IRS and ask for a copy of your 2006 tax script. You can get the missing W-2 information off the script.

    If you cannot, any competent tax professional CAN.
