    F-1 student filed 1040 since 2005
I am a F-1 student and I have been filing the 1040 since 2005. I just found out this past summer that it was the wrong thing to do. What do I have to do this year to make it right?

You have to amend each return where you filed incorrectly, filing Form 1040X and attaching a properly-prepared Form 1040NR-EZ and Form 8843 to the Form 1040X.

Depending on your home contry, you may owe taxes, have NO added tax liability, or may be eligible for a refund for returns in 2007 and later.

If you need professional help filing your amendments, email me at [email protected].

In there, he claimed an education credit (or something to that effect) which effectively...
