    Different standard deduction rates 1040/1040EZ
The standard deduction rates listed on the 1040 and 1040EZ forms are different. Why is this?

    They are NOT different.

Single is $5,150, as is Married Filing Separately.

    Married Filing Jointly is $10,300.

The rates listed on Form 1040EZ COMBINES the standard deduction AND the personal exemption, depending if you are filing SINGLE ($8,450) or MFJ ($16,900).
