    Did not file 2001-2003
    Hello,
I did not file taxes for the years 2001-2003. IRS has sent me a letter saying I need to file them before march 30.
Since I was an international student under an F-1 visa I can file 8843. While working during these years I mostly claimed to be exempt because of my status. Is filing the 8843 going to still exempt me from taxes.
Somebody explain to me what to do exactly please.
    Thank you

Your F-1 status exempts you from FICA taxes, NOT income taxes.

    File the returns.
