    California Inheritance Tax
As I understand it, California has no inheritance tax. Is this correct? I recently inherited
17K from my mother's trust upon her death, so I'm wondering what tax ramifications this will have for me.

    Thanks!

There is no federal inheritance tax. CA also does not tax inheritances.
