I have been facing problem with Rundll32.exe (using Win2K prof.). It gets activated automatically every time I restart my system. Due to this file my system gets very slow and it becomes very hard to work on it. I have come to know that this is a Spy program which makes copy of itself.

Could you please suggest me how to get rid of this? And can I delete this file. Will the deletion harm my system?

It's not a virus, it's a windows file which loads library files. There are many things that can slow up a computer. Check out this link for more.

Rundll32 IS a windows file, run32dll is not.

Another site says it's a keylogger/trojan/bad program

Is it Rundll32.exe the name of the file . Where is it stored? /windows/system/ ?

Which anti virus do you use? Do you have anti spyware?

Win2k machines are tough to handle as they do not have the features of xp like msconfig

Have you run an online scan?
