PC is infected with Win32/Tanatos.M, Win32/Heur. AND SOME Trojan horse.
Question : JUST AT WHEN I LOG ON MY PC I GET SOME REGISTRY PROBLEM MESSAGES. {it shows me the file name (something) which is written in symbols & i can't read it]. if i on OK button then it goes and it let me do my work Easily .My PC is running was very Good and does not trouble me any more. (I have no anti virus software installed and nor i update from Microsoft.) just 1 day i visit a security/anti-virus website & ask myself why not try one of them to secure my PC. then i downloaded Avira Anti virus Software and double-click on its icon to install it BUT it does not Start. then i Downloaded Avast Anti virus Software the same problem occur with it, and its goes on....,Then i Install AVG Free Anti virus Software its not only installed in my computer but also detect 2 Virus in a huge no. :--> Win32/Tanatos.M, Win32/Heur.

and later on some of the listed viruses found very few :--> 1) Trojan horse PSW.OnlineGames_r.L 2) Trojan horse PSW.OnlineGames_r.G 3) Trojan horse Generic3.PMK 4) Trojan horse Generic9.AGHD 5) Trojan horse Generic10.HJF.

MANY OF MY IMPORTANT FILES ARE IN THE "VIRUS VAULT" LIST. AND WHEN I OPEN ANY APPLICATION/PROGRAM IT DOES NOT STARTS.(except Browsers, windows media player).

PLEASE SUGGEST ME WHAT TO DO TO REMOVE ALL THIS. AND IF THEY ARE REALLY PRESENT IN MY COMPUTER THEN WHAT ARE IT BAD AFFECTS ON MY PC, AND WHY MY PC IS RUNNING REALLY GOOD WHEN I DID NOT HAVING ANY PROBLEM'S WHILE I DO NOT HAVE ANY ANTI VIRUS INSTALLED (ALWAYS).

    THANK YOU.

Hopefully you've learned from all of this. You cannot operate a computer without Antivirus defenses in place and think you're safe simply because it is working. The most common thing a Virus does when active is spy on you, not make your system unusable.

Some viruses DO make your system unusable, though, but either way, you now know that you're infected as were many of your "important documents". Those documents can no longer be trusted and should be considered "the cost of learning".

As for your programs, you need to reinstall them now WITH your AntiVirus software still running. Reinstallation insures a working, non-infected set of program files are configured properly.

BTW, if you don't have a firewall running, too, you need that as well. ZoneAlarm is a good free firewall.
