    Understanding Sociology (in general)
How do I start to think in terms of sociology? Can someone explain how I should look at various sociological terms (such as legitimization) and answer questions containing those terms? It seems almost too common sense that I can't quite understand what the questions want.

    Thanks :)

How do you start to think in terms of Sociology? What sources have you read so far? Have you studied the history of Sociology at all? Have you seen a timeline in Sociological Thought and Development? A pretty decent timeline was written by Ed Stephan and can be found at his website: Intute: Social Sciences - Sociology

What specific questions are you being asked to answer? You mentioned legitimization, but you need to explain what you are questioned about concerning that term and any other term.

There are some fairly detailed resources available online and perhaps you need to read through some of them.

    Here are some online resources:

Social Science > Sociology in the Yahoo! Directory

    WWW Virtual Library: Sociology

Sociology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Intute: Social Sciences - Sociology
