Suing for items I previously owend before start. Bus.
A friend of mine (who'd I only knows a few years) began a small gym in my basement at the beginning of 2008. We baught one brand new items, (over $1000+) we went 50/50 on it. I have receipt and so does he. I had the rest of the items before he came to my home plus baught a squat rack w/ all weights etc. from an acquaintance for $125 (worth $1000). She never used the machine. I have videos of all these items in my home. We moved to a bigger place because clientel was more than expected so all my basement was moved over to the other place. We got into a dispute where he assaulted me and I pressed charges plus 4 other counts and have a restraining order against this man. He claims none of these were mine and therefore he won't return them. I have receipts and videos and photos of items before we moved them out, do you believe I have a chance to get these items back or their net worth?

All you really need is a copy of the partnership agreement and a list of assets. He will then need to pay half the value of those assets.
