What is the percentage limit on a garnish judgment in Tennessee
I owe my former landlord nearly three thousand dollors for back rent. I have repeatedly set up a payment plan but for various resons have failed to keep it consistent. Now he has set a date for court and I was wondering how much a judge can order in payments or garnishment if I'm not making enough to balance my current budget.

Tennessee follows Federal Law which is:

    (1) 25 per centum of your disposable earnings for that week, or

    (2) the amount by which his disposable earnings for that week exceed thirty times the Federal minimum hourly wage prescribed by section 206 (a)(1) of title 29 in effect at the time the earnings are payable, whichever is less."
