Produce 4, 920.00 to the sheriff immediately, which I don't have. I have a bank account that my check is direct deposited into to live on. My roommates check is also direct deposited into that account. The account is in my name only. The writ states if I don't bring them the money then they can take it out of personal property and if not sufficient then they can get it from real property. Can they take my bank account of my wages? Has this already been done? The writ of execution does not say anything about my bank account. I live in NC.

A writ of execution is issued after someone wins a judgment against you. Were you sued? Was a judgment issued?

Yes, they can go after you bank account so I suggest your roommate stop having his check direct deposited and get his own account.

If you have a judgment against you need to reach some payment arrangement.
